personal: go-ooooooooooooaaaallllllllllllllll!

Canny and I went to the Home Depot Center to watch the LA Galaxy play the Portland Timbers on Saturday. What an exciting first experience! The LA Galaxy defeat Portland, 3-0. Announcements were made stating that if the Timbers didn''t score, everyone in the crowd would get free "Pollo that does not compare-o" Unfortunately, we escaped the scene about 5 minutes before the game ended so we missed the giveaway. For all those who know me know well, know that  I'd rather have my Thai BBQ chicken anyway. Their chicken really does not compare-o. So chances are, the pollo giveaway was probably just whatev-o's.

More importantly, let's talk about #23, the superstar, David Beckham. My observations concluded that 80% of the fans were women and all 80% were there drooling over him. Me included. Victoria is one lucky woman....all jokes aside, this game gave me such an appreciation for Soccer. It almost made me want to perfect my foot work, run, and roll around in the field that looks as soft as a baby's butt. Enjoy!

personal: tacos y sombreros

Today marks a very special day for Canny and I as we celebrate our 6 months together!! (feels much much longer--in a good way of course!) As we laid in bed this morning, he sings me a song and it went a little something like this:
"H is for the Happiness you bring to my life..E is for Everyday we spend together...L is for the Love we have for one another...E is for for Ever..N is for ummmmmmm I don't know what starts with N. This is my first draft, the final to come later...." -___- Laugh.out.loud.

The Weather Gods have been so nice to us Californians these past few days that we decided to take advantage of the amazingness and spent the day in Laguna Beach. We had brunch at Las Brisas, a mexican restaurant overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. For those who have never been, I highly suggest checking out their Sunday Brunch as the food is delish..party-in-your-mouth status with a breathtaking view! You just cannot go wrong. After all the deliciousness, we made our way down to the water for some fun and an impromptu photoshoot ;)

Going to Las Brisas really was the perfect idea...it goes hand in hand with the 5-night Cabo San Lucas trip he booked for us at the end of June; We're staying at the all-inclusive Riu Santa Fe Resort..I stayed at the Riu Montego Bay last year and swore I'd visit another Riu, so I'm really looking forward to our stay in Cabo!!!! I am already daydreaming of waves crashing, relaxation, margaritas on the rocks, Sagrias, and tequila shots. Yes, please and gracias! This is the sweetest gift ever. This also means it's time to hit the gym for real so I'm beachybody ready in 2.5 months..oh lordy.

This post is dedicated to my Honeybunz. Everyday that goes by makes me realize just how undeserving I am to have such a wonderful, giving, and patient man in my life. Thank you for being everything I strive to be..and more. Here's to another 80 years together. Te amo, mi amor!

personal: colors of the wind

I know, I know....it's been forevz. I've been so caught up with other stuff I neglected not only the e-world but even my monster of a camera and it is not OK. I do apologize but I am bizaaack. Mommy's home from China, I have food in my belly, I have clothes on my back, life is G-R-A-N-D.

Other news...Canny and I visited Color Me Mine for the first time while double dating with my cousin and her hubby. It is so much fun! Matthew never paid so much for doggy bowls, ever! Speaking of doggies, Jacky and Matt rescued the sweetest little 8 month old pocket pit, Lily! Yes, pocket pit..anyone ever heard of them? I haven't. She'll weigh a max of 34 lbs! She'll also have the most pimped out water and food bowl on the block..can't wait to share pics of her adorable little face.

We realize the ceramic stuff is worth all of 50 cents each, everything is imported from Mexico and Thailand and they charge an arm and a leg. But, I have to say the experience is well worth the moola. Thanks boys! ;) We had a great time picking from various ceramic designs, color palettes then started brushing, sponging, and flicking away! The artsy fartsy employee shared all kinds of his profesh tips and tricks with us...

We didn't realize how time consuming this mess would be...so for anyone thinking about going, we suggest going after lunch or dinner so your stomach isn't eating itself away aka you aren't trying to rush out of there from hunger aka what I did. Before leaving, we learned that every Friday night is Midnight Madness!! It's more of an "adult-only" event from 6-midnight, BYOW (bring your own wine) serving cheese and crackers! Did someone say paint and Stella Rosa (or Moscato)? You betcha. There were so many cute designs I will def be back for more! Such a cute girls night out activity minus the hootchiness, drunkies, and drama. I'm all in.

They'll be ready for pick-up on Wednesday evening and I can't wait to see our masterpieces! Until then, here are some pics from the day. As Gaga would say, love you my little Monsters! xoxo
